Trina Liang-Lin



Trina is Singapore’s representative to the G20 for Women and the managing director of Sidra Capital. She is a pioneer and specialist in the Asian bond market securities sector and has held senior positions in a number of global investment banks in Hong Kong, London and Singapore. Trina holds a Masters degree in  Accounting and Finance from the London School of Economics and a Bachelors degree in Economics from the National University of Singapore. In 2021, she was appointed by the Ministry of Finance (Singapore) to represent the country at the G20 Private Sector Alliance for the Empowerment and Progression of Women’s Economic Representation (EMPOWER).


Trina is President of WISE (appt 2021) and Netball Singapore (appt 2023). Trina is past-President of both UN Women (Singapore) and the Financial Women’s Association of Singapore (FWAS) and the past Vice President of Singapore Council of Women Organizations and co-chair of BoardAgenda and the Singapore Women’s Hall of Fame. She has also previously served on the boards of Sentosa Development Corporation (Audit), the National Volunteer and Philanthropy Centre (NVPC), the Singapore Institute of International Affairs (SIIA) and the Economic and Employment committee of the government’s feedback unit, REACH.


She currently sits on the boards of the World Wildlife Fund for Nature (WWF) Community Foundation of Singapore,  SPCA, Victoria Junior College (Vice-Chair) and Singapore Repertory Theatre. She is a member of the Young President’s Organization (YPO).


She has worked on political campaigns in Singapore: most notably in the election of the 7th President of Singapore (2011 to 2017) Tony Tan Keng Yam’s presidential election, and in Minister Lawrence Wong’s small and tight-knit election strategy team focused on campaign strategy and speeches.


In 2022/23, she was named one of the 20 women on Prestige Magazine’s Women of Power inaugural list and is one of Robb Report’s Thought Leaders 2022. In 2019, Harper’s Bazaar Singapore named her on their Power List. In 2019, Tatler awarded her the Philanthropy Award. In 2014, she was appointed Chairperson of the Philanthropy in Asia summit organized by NVPC. From 2015 she was appointed co-chair of the President of Singapore’s Volunteer and Philanthropy Awards (PVPA). She together with her husband set up the Lin Foundation in 2016.


In Aug 2018, Harper’s Bazaar Singapore named her on their Power List. She was voted Woman of the Year (Business & Finance) by Women’s Weekly in 2006 and Her World’s Most Inspiring Women under 40 in 2010. She was named both Straits Times’ 50 Young Singaporeans to Watch (2004) and 20 Women to Watch (2006).


In Nov 2018, she and her husband were named Forbes Asia’s 2018 Heroes of Philanthropy. Also in Nov 2018, Trina received Singapore Tatler’s Philanthropy Award.
